Hotdesking is a feature in your phone system that allows users to log in to any phone within the network and have their personalized settings and extensions follow them. This means that a user can log in to a phone at their desk, and then log in to a phone in a different location, and have their settings, such as call forwarding and voicemail, follow them to that phone.

To set up hotdesking, the administrator will first need to configure the phones in the network and assign extensions to users. Once that is done, users can log in to any phone using their extension and PIN. Once logged in, the phone will automatically configure itself with the user's settings and preferences. This configuration is usually done by Connexium

Hotdesking can be especially useful for businesses with a flexible working environment, such as remote or hot-desk office spaces, or for employees who travel frequently. It allows employees to stay connected and reachable regardless of their location and can also save space by reducing the number of phones needed in an office.

It is also a great feature to allow employees to work from anywhere, they can pick up their work on any device they want and they will have all the same functionalities and settings. And also it can improve collaboration within the team.
