Why can't I send text messages?

It is possible to send text messages with the Connexium platform by 3CX.

If the option is enabled for your organization and your extension, you should see the "Send SMS" option in the "Chat" page of your PC, mobile or web portal application when you press the "+" sign

Click the + icon to send a text message / SMS
from your Connexium number


Here are some examples of error messages

1 - Do not forget the country code and the + sign

Must start with a non-zero digit and + in front of the number
To send a text message, you must add the + sign and the recipient's country code.

2- The country code was not added

Remember to always include the recipient's country code

EXAMPLES OF COUNTRY CODES:
The country code for Canada and the United States is +1
France is +33
England is +44

If you forget to do this, you will receive errors like these:

EXAMPLE 1

In this example, we have the plus sign "+"
but the country code "1" is missing at the beginning of the number.

Invalid destination region (40309): The
region 'PE' for the destination
'+5142323323' is not included in the
messaging profile's whitelisted
destinations.

EXAMPLE 2

Invalid 'to' address (40310): The 'to' address should be a single valid number.

3- Security restrictions on your account

International texting is not allowed by default.
If you need to send text messages to international destinations, please get in touch with your Connexium representative.

Zone 1
 is North America, and numbers start with +1 then the area code
Zone 2 is mostly Africa and starts with +2xx
Zone 3 & 4 is Europe and numbers start with 3xx & 4xx
Zone 5 is mostly Central and South America, +5xx
Zone 6 is Southeast Asia and Oceania
Zone 7: Russia and neighbouring countries
Zone 8: East Asia
Zone 9: mostly Middle East and parts of southern Asia
