Call hunting is a feature in your telephone systems that allows calls to be automatically distributed among a group of users, such as a department or team.

This feature is also known as "ring group" or "hunt group". The calls are distributed based on specific rules or algorithms, such as:

  • Prioritized Hunt
  • Hunt Random Start
  • Hunt by Threes Random
  • Hunt by Threes Prioritized
  • Skill-Based Routing Hunt Random Start*
The goal of call hunting is to ensure that calls are answered promptly and efficiently by the agents or employees whose job is to mainly answer the phone, and only overflow calls will be sent to another member of your staff.

* This feature is only available in our Skill-Based Routing Hunt Random Start*
